FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE INFORMATION

Holiday Explorers is aware that some carers may be restricted in the number or duration of holidays that they request due their financial circumstances. This may mean that only one holiday per year is booked, or only shorter holidays or day trips may be affordable.

Holiday Explorers receives funding from both the State and Commonwealth Governments to provide respite for carers of people with intellectual disability living in South Australia. Holiday Explorers uses holidays as a means of providing respite for carers AND valuable experiences and opportunities for the person with intellectual disability.

Families may be able to access financial assistance for the holiday fee (or part thereof) because Holiday Explorers is a respite service.

The following organisations may provide financial assistance.  They have assisted other eligible families to access respite through Holiday Explorers in the past. Please note that each application for financial support is assessed individually and Holiday Explorers cannot guarantee that your application will be approved.

If you are interested in receiving further information about financial support please contact the organisations directly to discuss your individual circumstances.  They will ask you about your needs and determine if they are able to assist.  If your family member has received a holiday itinerary from Holiday Explorers have this information available to give to the organisation.
